History
Vineyard Ranch Elementary opened in August 2012. Though the building was not yet complete, students who attended Wilderness Oak Elementary and lived closer to the Vineyard area were split off to populate the new school. Pack 502 was chartered in October 2012 from scouts who were previously with Wilderness Oak’s Pack 501. The branching into a new Pack was similar to Pack 501’s creation August 2005 as a split from Pack 500 when Wilderness Oak opened and took kids from Hardy Oak Elementary.

Arrow of Light Recipients
The Arrow Of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouting, and it is the only badge of Cub Scouting rank that may be worn on the Boy Scout uniform. To earn the Arrow of Light badge, a Cub Scout must earn the Webelos badge plus five additional Activity Badges from selected groups. The Webelos Scout must additionally satisfy five other requirements designed to prepare the boy for Boy Scouting.
Webelos Scouts that aspire to this achievement have worked very hard to earn it. By the time he has earned the Arrow of Light Award, he will have learned many things about a lot of subjects – and a lot about Boy Scouting. He will be ready to join a Boy Scout troop!
